The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is the most popular book for typing practice on TypingProo — and one of the best for building real-world speed. Conan Doyle's prose mixes short, punchy dialogue ("Elementary!") with long Victorian sentences full of commas, semicolons, and proper nouns like "Baskerville" and "Moriarty" that force your fingers off the common-word comfort zone.
